Indica
If you’re looking for a full-body effect, you want to relax or seek relief from pain; this strain could be a great option—best for consumption at night or any point in the day where being active isn’t required.
D-Luxe offers a wide range of different Indica varieties for you to enjoy.
The Origins of Indica
Cannabis Indica is a species of cannabis from the same family as Sativa. The name was taken from the geographical region where the plant was originally grown. It was originally cultivated in Nepal, India, Northern Pakistan, and Afghanistan; but is now widely grown in many locations across the world.
Indica strains have a lower THC content and a higher CB content.
How is Indica different from Sativa?
If we look at things on a chemical level, Sativa and Indica are made from different cannabinoid compositions. They also have different blends of phytochemicals, such as flavonoids and terpenes.
Generally, Indica produces an effect that can be felt body-wide, while Sativa works more on the mind.
The Effects of Indica
Some of the common effects of Indica include:
- Deep-relaxation
- body-wide feeling of calm
- Good for sleeplessness
If you’re looking to feel more focused, energized, or productive, you might prefer to try a Sativa or Hybrid variety instead. Indica is best consumed at night due to its deeply relaxing effects.

How To Find The Right Strain For You
TERPENES
Terpenes are the oils responsible for the unique scent and flavor of a cannabis strain which invokes different effects on the mind and body.
It has been well-researched and documented that terpenes provide pointed effects in essential oils and aromatherapy. Recently, they have also been found to do the same in cannabis. The terpenes in cannabis combine with the cannabinoids (THC, CBD, etc) to accomplish intended effects.
